Best service in eastern mass
I have called around to a few dealerships to get a feel for the service departments and the inherent competency to service an FR-S.
Should I be weary, or simply trust that any Toyota dealership can be trusted. I bought it at Toyota of Watertown but looking for something a little more convenient. Only getting an early break in oil change. No biggie. Would like to avoid having a kid who's never worked on an FR-S handle the tools with my car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Acton Toyota of Littleton has been pretty professional, though the service manager is definitely grouchy. They are one of the largest volume dealers so they have good access to the Toyota regional rep. - who oversaw installation of my taillights.

I bought and so far have had my car serviced there two times. No problem and very professional. Though I gotta say if the service wasn't complementary, I wouldn't go there. an oil and filter changes is almost $100 there.

Funny, I was about to start a thread like this for Subaru. Getting my auto-dim mirror fixed is one thing. Getting the weather stripping, fuel pump, and tail light fixed is another. Although, I got my passenger-side window replaced and there wasn't a problem at Clay Subaru...it's just far as balls.

Woburn Toyota is great, the place doesn't looks anything special but the parts and tech departments have always taken care of me. They tend to over quote time and cost, but its a nice surprise when that $500 repair that was going to be ready tomorrow is ready today at 3, and only cost $375.
I will never go to Acton Toyota EVER again as their service manager is awful to deal with. |
Thanks for all the Eastern Mass suggestions. I think that my break-in oil change (1300 mi) will be performed at Wellesley Toyota. The chica who quoted me the price was the first service dept. employee who possessed any knowledge of the specific oil type used for the FR-S oil changes.
1) The Toyota Synthetic 0W-20 that comes in bulk containers ~$70 + tax for the oil change. 2) Mobile 1 as an upgrade and additional cost for the oil change. (assuming also 0W-20 but not positive) Just a gut feeling that I felt and this dealership is the closest to me geographically as I recently moved. As I don't track my car, yet anyway, I'm going to get the Toyota oil. |

Thanks for the info. Motul is great stuff. The Indy mechanic who serviced my 328 out of warranty used Motul.

Unfortunately my experiences at Woburn toyota have also been poor. Told I needed services and lied right to my face. Told me I needed over $600 in services when the actual services I did need were not even mentioned. Lost or didn't bother putting back clips after my oil change (I had just bought them - so that was $32 wasted). Plus their parking lot is horrible. |

yeah Woburn's parking is laughable, they just told me to park on the crossed yellow lines next to the door on the express service side. Funny you mention clips, because they went out of their way to replace missing clips on my tC's splash shield. Another place people could check out is the dealer in Wellesley. Never been there personally, but the service writers and techs that I liked at the braintree dealer all moved to that location. |
