would you trade?

2013 for a 2014 release series? I know of one sitting in a dealer. + 2 frs..

Edit...

Now i realized its a 2013. if you are interested robinsonscion.com they have 1 limited and 2 in stock

No. The added farkles don't do a whole lot for me and I dislike the color. Had it been a more interesting color (yellow? BRG?) I'd have possibly been interested.

Dsmith1992 08-05-2013 10:53 AM

its actualy a 2013 not a 14 fyi

njccmd2002 08-05-2013 11:03 AM

ok, dang, what a way to open eyes, i tought it would have been a 2014. i guess not.

anyone interested in it see first post.

I don't mind the silver color and I like the various upgrades -- dual automatic climate control, HIDs, smart-key/push-start, etc. If I was purchasing new, I'd probably have gotten one. Not sure if it's worth a trade-in though.

If the color was yellow I would already have it. Even if it came in red, I would be tempted to swap it, but I don't want that (IMO) bland color.

The added goodies are nice, but the color doesn't quite cut it for me. I HAD to get mine in white

njccmd2002 08-06-2013 02:52 AM

what bothers me sometimes is that there are too many whiteout now. Im a freak when it comes to having something, that not many people will have. I mean, it was great for a while, to be the only frs in town, now there are about 6 and 3 whites... LOL..

Call me crazy, the color is nice, only a few will be made, and will be a series car. That in 20 years may not be anything. but the fact that i almost have mine paid off and im not advancing a year, deterred me. But what i would do, is get the vin number, and in a year or two. maybe order the parts... LOL...

I actually like the color and I would do it just I'm not THAT financially well of right now to do that lol
and I do like all the extra toys in there

Drftfan 08-06-2013 03:15 PM

I would trade mind for a "new" 1995 240sx if it was possible to go back in time. But that's me.
Other than that nope

True that, I just went to a meet the other day and out of 15-20 86's, almost half were white :iono:

Well lets look at it this way the 10 Series FR-S is basically a FT-86 so to answer your question yes.

Or you could look at it this way a base FR-S is MSPR $25,255.00 add the $2,400 for the JDM headlights and you will have the 10 Series cost to purchase.

Also it's the rarest paint color on a Toyota 86 to date with only 2,500 made.

The Series color is better in person though, I will say that.

Keep in mind though, that the popular colors (white, black, silver) will all have better resale value than any of the sportier colors. They are more easily marketable to the average joe down the line. Same reason why modified cars sell for less, even if the modifications have no downside.

If you don't like it, have it wrapped! You can choose almost any color and you will definitely (probably) be the only one with it!

EDIT: I saw a Series 10 tC and agree that it is not special enough to really be considered a "Special Edition" color, even if it does match fairly well with the glowing badges. I would have killed for a Bright Yellow or Baby Blue. I think some people would have just died if their special edition was a Panda color scheme.
