ecutek map switching defroster

sooo those of you that know about this and have done it before, question!

currently, i am using the defroster button with my tune and am slightly confused by it. so i know how to switch maps, but it seems like flashes = map 1 three flashes = map 2 and four = 3. is there a special way to count it because there is no one flash for one. input please. thanks.

It didn't work reliably for me. I gave up on it. Sometimes map 2 would be engaged when turning on the car when it wasn't supposed to be.

I asked my tuner to put the switching on the cruise control. Infinitely better! Never looking back.

i believe he has an upgraded steering wheel. what i would do i set you base tune on map 1 for whichever settings youll be using the most. that way everytime you start the car youll be reverted to map 1 anyway. then you only have to worry about switching maps when you want to use one of your optional features you didnt have selected for your first map. basically minimizing your guess work as far as map switching is concerned.

You're absolutely right about the steering wheel. I only wanted map 1 to be valet because if I take my car to alignment or something and they test drive it, they don't know how to map switch so by default valet will be on. I just don't want to be confused and drive then be on valet then pull over turn car off. Switch then drive. Did that once already hahaha. Just confused by how many blinks is what map like if it blinks twice that one for the jnitial blink the the next means map 1 or if literally two blinks is map two. If so, when is blink 1 present.

I'm using the defogger.
2 flashes is map 1 up to 5 flashes is map 4

I was using the defroster after awhile and got to the point where I couldn't stand it anymore. Plus it takes too long to wait for every flash and count. I am much happier with the cruise control selection :)
