Cloth seat wear-Problem
I have almost 10,000 on the odometer and there is no visible wear on my cloth seating surfaces. My friends think that I don't drive the car and I have to show them my mileage. I don't want to fake the wear. Possibly I should get Alcantara seat covers. Any suggestions?

your trips are too long - you're not getting in and out of the car often enough. drive a bit, get in and out, stretch those legs, get back in and out again. drive shorter distances, stop to get a beer on the way to your destination. wear a more abrasive jacket. if you have the determination, you CAN do it. nothing's worse than having your friends think you have a garage queen. it's embarrassing. hell, i once drove in a gravel pit just to put some rock chips on the front end paint so i could show 'em off to the boys. got a lot of pats on the back that evenin'.

Any problem can be cured with an angle grinder, given enough thought.
Harbor Freight has some *really great deals* this week. 8) |
