FA20CLUB ECUTEK Flex Fuel Forced Induction Certified...Vortech Innovate & Turbo

For all those who were unaware we were first to market last year with our flex fuel kit they have sold well but we decided to do a proper release with some new testing via the ever popular Vortech Blower. We had the opportunity for one of our Customers to install and retune the complete kit.

This version of our kit boast the following:

  • Mil Spec Wiring
  • Deutsch Connectors
  • Only One Single Wire Connection Needed
  • Braided Sleeving
  • Marine Grade Heat Shrink Tubing
  • Weather Tight Connectors

Now onto the benefits:
  • No More Draining Fuel Tank to Change Fuels
  • Optimized Cranking, Fuel & Ignition Tables
  • Maximized Power Delivery No Matter the Ethanol Content
  • No Worries About Winter Blends

Here you can see the test with our Vortech Based Flex Fuel Map. Tables we setup into our custom Map. The sensor reported a ethanol content of E60 car was tested with the 12psi pulley. As you can see the power went up progressively throughout the test as the ethanol was able to mix into the preexisting pump gas in the tank.

Can't wait to try this out! :)

I see 3 lines on the graph what were the difference between the three?

baseline run with 9psi pulley then e85 on 12 psi pulley the middle run i cant remember the ethanol level but it started at E9 and ended at E60 on the final pull.

Nice, I have been waiting for one of these and I just worked a ton of overtime.

I am stoked about getting this kit for my Innovate system

So only E60 on this? MMMM. All i wanted was hopes of tapping 320WHP out of my vortech kit eventually... looks like I will be able to get exactly what i wanted down the road!

Is your flex fuel tune for the innovate kit ready yet? Do you have any data to share on any of your innovate tunes?

xjohnx 07-31-2013 10:12 PM

any plans to integrate EBCS along with the flex fuel kit so that SC users could run a smaller pulley all the time, bleeding off excess boost when on 93 octane but letting the boost ramp up as the ethanol content rises?

What mods were done to this car besides the 12psi pulley and your flex fuel system w/tune?

JerryMichaels7 07-31-2013 10:15 PM

Would this when it sees it running e85 be the same as your e85 tune? or would it be better to run the e85 tune till we need to actually use the flex fuel feature

that would be correct. the benefit is that should you have a 50/50 mix or 70/30 mix it will relay to content to the ECU and adjust as needed.

We have you covered when you are ready -- no data to show as not many have booked for tuning on the dyno.
