Bespoke Zypr Rage
 

Alright so I'm going to vent and I want to know if anyone else shares my thoughts on this.

Me :

Bought my FR-S in mid January
All the dealerships in the NW had only the premium Zypr unit's in all of the cars.

With much reluctance bought my FR-S with the "premium" Zypr package costing me $1,200.

Zypr Bespoke never releases Android verison to use the "premium" features of my unit.

Now Scion has new "premium" stereo unit based on Aha AKA Harmon that supports Android devices.

Rage??

Seriously who are they trying to fool? I'm seriously debating about arguing with corporate to switch out my unit for the new models. The zypr stereo units are possibly the crappiest piece of hardware I've ever seen pitched in a car. Who honestly sells a stereo unit that requires you to use an iphone that utilizes blutooth, the USB and the Aux ports just to make it work??

Sorry to vent I'm just curious if anyone else shares my thoughts..

Welcome to the age of computer where everything is obsolete yesterday. Get used to it it's been like that for quite some time lol.

Get a usb stick or an old ipod, you'll keep those longer than your smartphone anyway.

you think that if you sued toyota for not warning consumers about the shitty bespoke unit that doesn't even work with a up to date phone you could win in small claims court? maybe force them to install the new aha one.

Bespoke was obsolete before it was even released..

Yeah it's pretty infuriating and useless. If it at least allowed aux to work normally I'd be more ok with it..

By the way it is looking there will never be a firmware update or an Android app.

so is it possible to get a discount if we buy the new radio and give them back our shitty bespoke?

I'm having this same complain. Only feature I can use is Bluetooth. Can't even use aux is just plain stupid. I guess it's called an "affordable" sports car for a reason right?

yeah but what pisses me off is that without the bespoke unit upgraded, the aux IS an aux. The bespoke upgrade makes it into a VGA cable for some odd reason.
It should still have remained an aux.
