fr-s for $23,992 new, or wait for 2014?

theres one at a toyota here that's been on the lot for 3 months (MT, red). Will also get $750 off because of college. what will i be missing from 2014 outside of probably meh info system (always like manual buttons)?

What are the odds of them fixing the little problems with the current model for 14?

If ur really driving a geo then I suggest u upgrade right away

I believe the only confirmed change is the better radio, based on what I have seen. But you most likely wont see a 2014 until later this year into early next year and I don't know if you would get one for that price.

If you want red, this seems like a great deal, and you can always upgrade the radio down the road.

Hey, those of us who start with modest cars enjoy the nice ones all the more...

For $239 the dealer should be able to upgrade the radio to the 14 model. I would bet that no major changes on the 14 from the 13. Production for the 14 should start sometime next month.

I wouldn't call the Geo modest, it was just plain unsafe to be frank. Merging on a highway needs a prayer.

Cross winds on a bridge?

I'd say buy it, you won't be around forever.

Buy it! That is a sweet price! It would be best to wait if there were known mechanical changes, styling changes, or a different engine option. Besides... The 2015 will prob be different from the 2014 and so on and so on... Always a "reason" to wait but you have a decent incentive to buy. Plus...financing rates are so low right now...

Three months? Was it a demo? If so, how many miles are on it? And if a demo, I'd ask for a dealer cost price on a Toyota extended warranty. If it wasn't a demo, I'd jump on that deal.

Geo Prizm is a decent car, it's a Toyota Corolla. Heck, if you have a GSi. it's a Corolla GT-S in configurations you couldn't get a GT-S.
Anyway, that sounds like a great price if that's new. I wouldn't worry about the little mechanical issues, they'll be covered under warranty. I also don't expect significant changes with the '14. Heck, you know there are instances when the early models of a car are more desired as they messed with them in later production and made them less fun.
And to chime in, I hate touch screens in cars. My FR-S stock base radio may look butt ugly, but it actually works pretty well and the buttons are easy to navigate by touch.
Few months ago had a rental Lincoln MKZ (I think, the AWD turbo sedan) and we all hated the touchscreen and soft touch buttons.
