USB connection

Ok people, who's really familiar with the audio unit? I just picked up a USB thumb drive and put a lot of songs on it. I didn't put the songs in some sub folder on it. They are all in the root directory. I then plugged the thing into the USB connection in the center console. The USB became active on the screen, I tapped it and there's all my songs showing in the display. I tapped the double arrow >> and nothing. I even tapped on a individual song, nothing.

make sure the drive is formatted FAT32 or FAT16 per the manual.

I just put 2000 songs on my flash drive, but created 9 separate folders with 255 songs each in them. Just tested it and they play and it will do shuffle between folders.

It already was. It still won't play the music.

2000? How large is the flash drive?

I've not created any folders. The 75 I have on mine are all sitting in the root directory of the flash drive.

I picked up a small 32 gig, probably would have been fine with a 16 gig. The first mp3 did stutter at first, but then settled down and I haven't had an issue, shuffled between folders no problem on the drive into work this morning, first time using it other than a quick test last night.
