Paintless Dent Repair

Curious if any of you guys know a reputable shop or person that does all your dent pulling needs? I have a ding I need some fixin' on my driver's side door. Price isn't a huge factor, quality is. Thanks people.

PMok 08-02-2013 03:12 PM

Bump, I would like to know as well. I'm going to stop by RJ Paint and see if they have any recs.

whaap 08-02-2013 03:14 PM

I'm not in your area but check your yellow pages under auto body repair. That's how I found my shop here in Tucson.

BigFatFlip 08-02-2013 03:28 PM

How bad of a dent is it? If its a soft enough dent and you have a strong suction cup you might be able to pull it out yourself. I've used my gopro mount a few times to pop out a couple dents on my truck, but never on my brz.

Bach415 08-02-2013 05:01 PM

I'm going to need one as well for a few dents that are like a quarter size. I've tried the GoPro mount.. Doesn't really work unless it's a big dent.

PMok 08-02-2013 11:04 PM

ok, I went to RJ and they quoted me $1500+ for repairing my damage. :confused0068: It's unfortunately part of the rocker panel/body and not something you can replace so it will require lots of labor to repair.

for dent removal he suggested Diablo Dents, but sounds like that is not going to work for my situation.

Justin is very reputable. He did my old s2k multiple times during dent days held on the s2ki forums. I've seen him do some pretty amazing dent removals.

I'm going to give this a shot

Hey guys. I signed up on the boards just to give another vouch to Justin (West Coast Dents). He recently fixed a nasty dent on my S2000 and I thought I'd share the before and after pictures. Notice that the dent is right on the crease and he managed to fix it pretty darned well. Worth every penny IMO.

Dimples Paintless Dent Removal fixed a dent in my hood today. I'm just realizing that I should've taken a before/after picture but i forgot. Anyway, he drove to San Ramon to my work and fixed a dent in the side of my hood, where the line that kinda protrudes up in the side, in around half an hour.

He did a really good job, and now i don't have a dent in my hood.

laguayo 08-09-2013 02:17 AM

Anybody try diablo dents yet? I'm tempted I have a small dent on my hood just where the two lines end on my right side and two small dimples on my door, if it works out for someone let me know I'll check them out.

Late reply, but I called Diablo Dent to do a PDR on my mom's Impreza. ~40 minutes, $90, the dent is 98% gone (still slightly visible under the right angle/lighting if you're looking for it). Very nice guy, too.

B2FiNiTY 12-20-2013 05:21 PM

damn. just got a ding right above my gas cap while I was gone on vacation. Time to check these guys out...

L4NDO 12-20-2013 10:38 PM

We should get a dent day going sometime after winter. Maybe we could all catch a break in price.

laguayo 12-25-2013 10:55 PM

I'm with L4NDO on this, I would be down.

boonFRS 07-22-2014 12:40 AM

I know a kid out of Modesto that does hook-up. Did 3 dents for me. Really good work.

What PDR place did you look into? I'd be down too!

Btw, you guys think this is repairable? It's a tiny dent but it's killing me...

There's a scuff mark but luckily I have a clear bra.

WesleyG 07-22-2014 02:21 AM

PDR is hit and miss, especially on dents that have kinks in them, the paint can sometimes Crack when the dent is pulled

garfull 07-22-2014 02:54 AM

Justin from West Coast dents. The before/after pics from his site are legit.

I'd give Roger a call over at http://www.yelp.com/biz/dentfree-san-leandro-4 if you're in the east bay. I had him remove about 4 dents from the hood due to getting hit by a tumble weed while driving on the 5. Some would consider his price to be on the slightly steeper side but the way he works and how he takes his time with every little details is well worth it.

Bumping this thread...

Has anyone had PDR work done in San Francisco? If so, where did you go and how was the experience?

cactus 09-11-2014 03:28 PM

I had Dent Discount do a dent on my rear quarter panel. Ken was nice and explained everything he was doing. He was very upfront about not being able to repair any problems with the paint. Mine had a small scuff in the clear that is still there after getting the car detailed, but it is not noticeable.

sw20kosh 09-11-2014 07:26 PM

I am in for a dent day!

RehabJeff86 09-16-2014 04:20 PM

Late to the thread, i recommend California Dent Works in Pleasanton, the fixed a nasty bumper dent and blended in paint on my Panamera seamlessly i was very impessed saving me thousnads as RJ Paint told me to replace the whole rear bumper.

For those of you in SF, Precision PDR did a good job at fixing the door dings I had on my front fender. Quality of work and price was good.
