Which EL Header Correct Torque Dip Best?

Im sure there are threads I can look through, but looking for a quick answer.

I will be doing header only for now. So this will be on stock exhaust. Only looking for a EL. Hp/tq increase would be nice, but mainly looking to correct the dip.

I like the HKS one. I hear it has good hp gains but doesn't correct the dip? Is this true?

Nameless

Right. But they dont gave a equal lenght one yet for sale right? Need to have one in the next 2-3 weeks.

Probably the FA20Club Header.

Honestly im curious what would happen if you put one of those headers on the stock exhaust. All they dynos so far have full systems. Do a dyno before and after!

for science!

Is there a reason for only wanting an el header? I my self was tore apart in deciding on which to buy, have you seen the comparison of the borla el to the uel? [QUOTE]

P&L put up some nice numbers, too.

Am I the only person that would never buy a turbo manifold with a NA conversion pipe to use as a header? I mean what's the point of having the "header" turn up into the engine bay where it does a U-turn to go where it should have gone in the first place? To me it's like multi-bolt pattern wheels. I would never buy them either.

It is just one way of achieving equal length + long tube runners. It also happens to be ideal for a modular system since lots of turbo kits need the manifold to go up in front of the engine.

Plus it lets them have longer EL runners and keep a cat. The other long tube EL ones have no room for a cat.

FA20club and Nameless probably have the best equal length headers. Neither company I don't think you'll get it in 2-3 weeks like you're looking for. The only way to do that is to get something like a Borla EL that's machine produced. The TUNE is what corrects the torque dip the most paired with the header. Header by itself won't do much but increase your volume.

Have a P&L catted header & FA20 tune. TQ dip almost seemed to disappear, and there's a wallop (relatively speaking) of TQ just over 4k--starkly more than stock.

FA20 Club EL Header

grostoine 07-28-2013 10:18 AM

FA20CLUB and P&L are the ''same''. The main difference is where the coupler is...
