We had to make some modifications to make it fit with out Rexpeed rear spats(about half an inch of dremel work), but are very happy with the results.

Hope you guys like photos....because I took a lot of them....

Agreed, I do appreciate having quantifiable data to justify performance purchases.

As another note, this would look great in black.

LeeMaster 07-26-2013 01:49 AM

Greddy Evo 3?

On my prototype I can vouch for a mpg increase on highway cruise. The 7 of the pre-production version I have sent out, I have reports in of increase mpg on the highway.

I can't say a specific number because it will change based on so many factors.

I'd also love to have wind tunnel data, but I'm an individual, not a massive shop that is willing to spout bs "data" to sell things to you. My budget for r&d comes out of my rent/food/gas money. What I can give you is that this is designed and built on a basic and time proven application which has been used in the same manner on race cars and "elite" sports cars around the world.

If considered as a purely cosmetic piece, take into consideration that plenty have paid $600+ for a fake diffuser which is nothing more than a lip on the bumper and lets be honest, this thing is just pure sexy and makes people break their necks.

I haven't test fit one yet but it should fit if the exhaust is designed like all the other aftermarket ones.

Freeman 07-26-2013 02:34 AM

Any word on pricing? I know what Carl was selling the pre production ones for and I should have jumped on that when I had the chance....

Via my Note 2

Understood. When you get pix of it installed, how about a profile, so we can see the diffuser angle, and the amount of "flat" floor forward of the angle. If you know the angle, that would be nice, even a side view of it uninstalled.

Pop rivets, or bucked rivets? any adhesive?

I'd have to send it out for black anodize myself.

*edit* You're moving to the Charlotte, NC area?

DriftEightSix 07-26-2013 09:28 AM

does this fit the STI/BRZ rear lip?

Turbowned 07-26-2013 11:19 AM

I'd be interested in this, especially if it works in conjunction with the purely cosmetic Subaru "diffuser"

JPxM0Dz 07-26-2013 11:31 AM

I'll take one if it fits with my AFe exhaust ?

Next week on that announcement which will be in the classifieds. :)

Installed pics are being edited now. We will be offering this anodized in a couple colors. That takes time and adds significant cost as getting a place that has a tank big enough to do this part is hard to find.

It would not work with that piece. You would have to heavily modify that item or take it off.

It should work with it as AFE has similar design to the others mentioned to fit.

AZFA20 07-26-2013 12:47 PM

Very interested, PM with price if possible.

Greddy EVO 3 here too.

Looking forward to the pix. Anodize, powder coat, CT-41...I shouldn't have a problem around me getting it coated.

FT-86 SpeedFactory 07-26-2013 01:42 PM

Install photos up on page 1 :D

mad_sb 07-26-2013 01:48 PM

Interested, but i would like to see some test data to quantify how effective it is.... and i Wish id did not stick out quite so far past the end of the bumper area.

Pop rivets, no adhesives. Im looking for an anodizer in NC, ft86speedfactory mentioned something about powdercoat through them but you'd have to ask them.

Well, I thought about taking it in an inch and a half off the end but it was unanimously voted against by the pre-release crowd. They also wanted the rivets. I understand it isn't for everyone and I may potentially build another version later but for now this is what we are running, I have other parts I am working to finish and push out. :)

JPxM0Dz 07-26-2013 02:14 PM

Looks great! OEM diffuser is a no go by the looks of it...

PM price please

Anodizing, just south of Charlotte:

other options:
Kephos @ http://www.kecocoatings.com/ (just north of charlotte)

More non-stick type coatings:

Yes, it is a completely functional replacement to the non-functioning OEM lip and all the other lips on the aftermarket.

Unlike other diffusers available, this one has worked with every exhaust I've put it on.

Price coming soon!

Gunman, I haven't been in NC for almost a decade, I might enlist your "local knowledge" for a discount on one. :)

stockysnail 07-26-2013 04:52 PM

Just to add a little to the thread, I have this rear diffuser. I painted it gold (to match my wheels) and I get compliments all the time when driving and when getting out of my car. See my build thread for pictures. Even though the cutout is designed for the Perrin exhaust, it fits the Nameless offset as well. I also think I've had a very slight increase in MPG.

Ahh, I can definitely see that now that I've seen the installed pics. That's a bit more agressive than I'd be looking for with a street car anyhow.

deedz 07-26-2013 07:34 PM

wonder if it can fit on rocket bunny diffuser...

Sorry you feel that way! The dimensions are posted, maybe you could build an alternative? There aren't many available and having other options would be great.

I'd like to see! That's my next step is seeing what aftermarket bumpers that it works with.
