Wheels? which is better?

Are Avant Garde popular? Im debating on getting 18's from Avant Garde or Forgestars! i can get a good deal on both, just dont know which would look better with an ultramarine car LOL

Well its all depend on what style you like and how many spoke, the best thing to do is go to your local meet, just to give you an idea and more info from the actual owner

Both are the same quality wise but i like the variety that Forgestar has to offer.

There's a little bit of misinformation on this thread, so let me clear something up real quick. Both wheels are great in their own right. We represent both companies, Avant Garde and Forgestar, and we're both the largest stocking distributors for both companies. With that out of the way lets get to the differences:

Avant Garde is a low pressure cast wheel, with pre-set offsets, sizes and colors. They make a very good wheel with high load ratings and a unique look for sure.

Forgestars are Rotary Forged, also known as Flow Formed, which is the same process that Volk, Advan, SSR and many other companies like Work use - See picture below for how they're made. Forgestars are lighter, and have a higher load-rating than Avant Garde as well, but the thing that separates them from Avant Garde is a wide range of color options, and a much wider range of sizes, widths, and offsets to build the right wheel for you. Essentially you're getting a wheel built to your specs that's strong, light, and performs very well. An 18x8.5 F14 for example weighs around 18.5LBS, so you'll certainly see a huge increase in performance from these wheels.

Aside from those differences, Avant Garde wheels because they're pre-set colors and pre-set sizes and offsets, are on the shelves ready to ship. Forgestars are custom built to order, so they take time to make just like any other custom made to order wheel (IE: HRE, iForged and so forth).

Let me know if you have any questions about either wheel. We wouldn't keep tens of thousands of dollars worth of inventory on either Forgestar or Avant Garde if we weren't seriously happy with their quality:
