Next generation Wrx info

Does anyone knoe of a forum like this dedicated to the next WRX?
This forum has been a great source for updates and i want to follow the development of the new wrx.

I sold mine when i moved to California from Canada. I miss drifting sideways through the snoe ladden streets of my home town after a big storm. I have an order in for a brz and am looking forward to carving up the canyon roads here in socal.

I think you mean NASIOC.

Nasioc has a future vehicles/rumors forum, but so far I've seen NOTHING on the next WRX, except that it's due out in 18 months. From NOW! I thought it would be out within the next 12 months. But who knows what it will be. They probably have some test mules of different ideas they're testing. Rumor was a turbo 1.6. Last I heard it may be a turbo variant of the FA20. 2 doors, 3? 4? 5?? Unknown. Design???

i read somewhere that is was a turbo fa20 putting out around 270 - i cant remember where though :( - it seemed to have been backed up by a subaru rep

Subaru showed a turbo FA20 engine at an auto show and noted that it wouldn't be used in the BRZ. (so WRX most likely). The FA20 has a very high compression ratio though, so I'm not sure what changes they made internally to reduce that and put a turbo on it. And still use direct and port injection?

Last time I was excited for a brand new redesigned WRX, I was greatly disappointed. The widebody they added from the STI helped a bit, but still misses the mark. Hoping the next one is smaller.

Subaru seems to be the new master of disception when it comes to launching new cars. I won't believe a damn thing until I see an official notice from them and then I'll still be guarded. Hell, they just said they were coming out with a turbo BRZ and they've always said no way.

Where did Subaru say a turbo BRZ is on its way? I haven't seen an official notice from them.

No they didn't, they said that a turbo version of the engine IN the BRZ will be used for the WRX...someone miss read it at being in the BRZ

...as of now there is nothing about a turbo BRZ.

p.d. It was a turbo 1.6
