Other cars with hype?
 

Have there been any other cars that have gotten this much hype or more? Any future cars gonna get hype like this? I will be the first to admit I know near to nothing about cars and am learning beginning to learn because of this car so I want to delve into the history of cars.

Most recent GT-R was hyped a lot. So was the Lotus Elise when it came to the states, and then the Exige. ITR probably got a ton of hype back in the day, so did the NSX(Ferrari beater!).

I'm not a big car history guy though. I suspect this one has a lot of hype because of the drought for cheap(ish) RWD sports coupes and it's cheap price. Hard to match both of those conditions, especially when journalists all allegedly love it.

If you were to get all your information here, you'd think that this market was already saturated with cheap RWD sports coupes. Everything from base Genesis coupes, BMW's, and used 370/350's have been thrown around.

Realistically only the Genesis coupe and the FRS/BRZ fit in this 25k sports car category since every other car mentioned seems to be paired with a used car price tag.....(since well...EVERYTHING is cheaper when used...)

The 2010 Camaro had a LOT of hype. I followed it from a couple years before launch to last December (when I joined here :thumbsup:)
