Car Business test drive
Some of you will know of the "Car Business" show hosted by Michael Vaughan and Jeremy Cato on the Business News Network. This week's episode has Michael intro'ing the GT86 and "driving" it around the Fuji track at the initial rollout event.
Why the quotes around driving? Because the in-car footage of him doing his laps is hilarious. This poor guy could not drive his way out of a paper bag, despite his being a Porsche owner. The end-of-show outtakes reveal that he actually got lost on-track, made a wrong turn and had to stop to ask directions. Catch it for the laughs. (Edit: actually I suppose I should cut him a bit of slack as he is trying to provide ongoing commentary as he drives, which must be a bit of a distraction. But still...) |

Oh man, those poor guys really should stick to talking about cars over a cup of coffee down the local diner.
I stumbled upon it now and again on early Sat/Sun mornings and it really was like a couple of past it grandpas yammering on about nothing. At least TSN's Motoring guys aren't quite at retirement age yet. |
Is this the same episode that Jeremy visits the Mazda factory and continually refers to the CX-7 as an RX-7? What a dolt...

That show is absolutely TERRIBLE! I don't know how it is still on the air.

^I assume it helps some channels meat their CRTC CanCon requirements, assuming that is still a consideration these days?

It was neat to catch that last night on BNN. I wish someone else test-drove the car

^LOLOL!!!
That's it! I hadn't seen it for years and I was shocked at his hair. You'd hope the producers would have told him to cool it some. You're a TV mechanic buddy, get a grip... Jim Kenzie has always been a miserable old fart, so he's probably better now than 20 years ago. |
