bring sunscreen.
ha, i have my first date at road atlanta next spring. im looking forward to it. make sure to bring equipment for every scenario - i bring two ratchet sets, jack, jack stands, umbrella, ball cap, raincoat, rags/towels, magnetic numbers, sunscreen, tire pressure gauge, air pump, pyrometer, jumper cables, pen/pencil, note pad, water, and snacks. I usually throw everything in a plastic container i got at walmart. I also have room for a 12'x12' canopy and two folding chairs. at a minimum, rain coat, hat, water, and sun screen. |

The region I autocross in is 2 hours away. I usually go with about 5 other friends (we all autocross). Between us we have enough equipment for anything, so it cuts down on how much we individually have to bring, haha. But definitely bring water, sunscreen, a hat and a rain coat.... I only recently started bringing hats... I'm never going to another event without one. |

As far as organizers, check out Hooked On Driving, they are pricey but great for beginners. Another option is the Car Control Clinic with BMWCCA for parking lot exercises. |

Come out with Fresno SCCA! I'm a novice, just started this year. I've been at Willow Springs and Buttonwillow and had a blast. Next event is at Castle AFB in Atwater this weekend.
