As per @pure_automotive heres my contribution.
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f1...x/IMAG0155.jpg And one of the better (although still not great) vids I took of the dyno pulls. I should have busted out my good camera for this, but oh well. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f1..._VIDEO0003.jpg |

Man, bummed I missed this. Looks like it was a great event.
|
Thanks for a fun day. Seeing all the cars was great. loved the Dyno pulls. can't wait to get mine dyno'ed and tuned.

Updated with Dyno Results!
|
Interesting that ftc~brz's torque seemed to die versus the dyno from last week (168 vs 192)...I wonder if these things just hate heat/barometric drops. Quality tune is probably more important just interesting results. Hopefully some cooler weather rolls in soon. I'm hopping to get mine up to about 235-240whp on pump. Not sure if cooler weather will do it but anxious to get my tune ironed out.
|
can't wait to see the overlay of swift996's and ftc-brz's runs. Be a nice comparison of e50/injectors/different tuner.
|
The main difference between last Monday and Saturday is the quality of the tune. There was a great amount of time put into the tune to ensure that it didnt knock and pull timing. Every pump gas dyno of an Innovate I've seen is jagged like a heart rate monitor. The bottom line is that the kit doesn't like pump gas alone. The addition of e85 and probably meth as well will allow the kit to be pushed further. But the quality and consistency of the car is sooo mich better now that its been ironed out. The weather doesn't help either.
|
I was able to scale it in and overlay in photoshop. Either the E50, the injectors or the tuner seem to be providing a significant advantage to @swift996's car currently. Can't imagine temperature was a huge factor since they were both run on the same day.

I was thinking the injectors may be playing an equal or larger role than the e50. Mike mentioned they were seeing similar choppiness as the Innovate base tune on their initial attempts to tune it with the stock injectors. |
awesome Pics!

ya'll have too much free time. and if I didn't have so much gas in my tank I would have thrown some corn juice in for shits and giggles. I didn't realize it was going to be a pissing contest. I would have picked up a strap on to level the playing field.

I doubt the injectors did a lot as far as power. I was just hopping to beat the vortech guys so I didn't have to pay for my dyno pulls, FAIL! |

I'm happy with my numbers since it's on a very safe tune and feels good behind the wheel. your numbers were nice with what you were running with as well. Over all we have a lot of potential with our new kits and it will be fun to see what comes of it all again at the next meet. |

I think you guys are misinterpreting @xjohnx 's post. There is no pissing contest rather he is close to buying the kit and wants to understand the power gains, the correct tune, the correct set-up etc. Information is helpful to educate people on what mods = what gains.
I was hopping to put up big numbers to save $75. I don't care if someone else's tune or set up makes more power. If they do I want to understand how and if there are things I can swap out to help make more power. I'm more performance minded so how a car drives and puts out power is important. My car would get smashed by anyone with a turbo, but I have a great set-up and looking to tweak a few more ponies out of it. |

I can see how my crassness can be disconcerting and for that I am sorry. Quote:
I apologize to whom ever took offense to my comments as I was merely having my information shared for the exact reason @xjohnx wanted to see them; however, I felt I was put on the defensive as soon as my plots were posted.Maybe it was selective word choice, or maybe I'm reading into things. Who knows honestly? But I felt like my car and my choices were being slighted and I definitely took that personally. That kind of feeling did not sit well with me and was not expected from fellow enthusiasts. The meet was great but it was too hot to think about lugging that lens aroundwho else has awesome photos to contribute? |

@Pure Automotive If you haven't already figured it out, I found cramming some paper in the socket for those rear injector cover bolts saves some time/aggravation  (when bolting back the passenger side cover) |
