Yesterday, I spoke to some of the attendees at the meet and greet in Oakland about this show...

James and his group put on a great show and the Marina in San Leandro is a beautiful setting.

I will be there with some type of JDM metalwork, and I realize that this may be a busy FT86 weekend, but some Bay area types may not be able to get away to the other events that weekend.

I am caravaning with a group from Z Car Garage in San Jose, should be in a Datsun that weekend. Come on out and say hi or bring out your old J-tin!

So wish I could attend this. Would love to meet the owner of Rocky Auto. There are some bad ass cars that come out of that shop.

Yes! I have a flyer from their shop that I got at the Nagoya Auto Show back in 06 that I would like to have him sign, and maybe give me his blessing on my 240Z turbo resto/autox/ride.

Thanks for bringing this one to our attention Eric! Too bad it's on Aug 10 the same day as 86FEST in LA. But for those remaining in the Bay Area that weekend, they can probably do both this show and also the 86 Festival later in the day in Oakland. :thumbup:

Nice Eric, looking forward to seeing yet another ride of yours (still like that gulf livery!). Definitely have this on my calendar, really enjoyed the previous show on marina, so definitely planning on checking this out. Hopefully I'll run into you and @denkigrve again!

The 86 meet at One Toyota is in the evening so I can easily hit up this meet in the morning and then go home and rest up for the Slide your ride 86 meet.

Anybody planning on going tmrw?

the show was cool. saw a lot of classics. funny that some of the same cars were also at the slide yo ride at one toyota that evening.

Great show, good people, and very nice vintage J-tin! I finished the refresh on the Turbo 240Z, and had a nice time on the bay!
