Should I try a 17x9 +20 square?

I already have 17x9 +35 but I found a wheel I like with a massive lip but it is a +20 offset so it will obviously poke. I also am already running stretched tires. I just am nervous to spend the money for fear I will think it is too hellaflush.
Opinions are fine... And I am good with hellaflush just don't want to overdo it either.

+20 = fenders will rub on the middle of your tread.

That part is the least of my concerns. I have already measured and with my current stretch if they were 15mm out more the tire would still tuck under the fender line.
Plus my car is already dropped with camber dialed in.

Tire or tread? I don't see how the tire could be under the fender.

I'm going to be putting on 17x9 20 offset wheels on with either 235 or 245 tires. Do you think this is going to be hellaflush? it pokes out around .5 of an inch from the fender.

the tire will rub unless u stretch it.. i have 215 on 17x9 +22

I'd be willing to bet that with -2.75 to -3* camber it will fit just fine. Hard driving could cause some rub though.

Vic 07-21-2013 01:00 PM

i can either have the option of the 17x9 with 20 offset or a 18x9 with 30 offset.
which setup do you think is better for daily driving and functionality?

bisdak 07-21-2013 01:07 PM

IMO I'd say 18x9 +30 would be better for DD.. It would fit better for a square setup.. For 17x9 +20 would have almost an inch of poke in the front but would have a good look at the rear..
