Sorry fort the crappy photos 57Xtreme Gramlights SP Spec 19 x 8.5 +43 & 9.5 +45 with Yokohama S Drive 235/35 F | 265/30 R http://i41.tinypic.com/ws5h7b.jpg http://i41.tinypic.com/2a95x5c.jpg http://i43.tinypic.com/2q9cdpe.jpg http://i39.tinypic.com/mj8jrr.jpg http://i40.tinypic.com/2lm9zio.jpg http://i40.tinypic.com/ej6dqu.jpg http://i39.tinypic.com/ogxra8.jpg |
Looks gay.
Just kidding -- best choice for our cars :respekt: |
omg looks so juicy, 19s... If only performance wasn't a sacrifice. As in too much grip, it loses the soul of driving an 86. But damn that looks so good.
|
Very nice. SP Spec is rare. I have sold probably 15-20 sets of these wheels, never SP Spec.
|
How long did you wait for these? I should be receiving mine in about 2 weeks, after a 3 month wait!
|
Kinda look like the 5 Axis wheels you had before, from what I remember.
Looks good, I like the white highlights. |

Looks great!

the reason i asked was because i see a lot of folks leave the center caps off, and was wondering if it was a clearance issue in the back with the hub or something (some wheel center caps won't fit because of that). |

Looks fantastic! Personally, I'd go red lugnuts with the red caps on a red car. Of course, I went blue lugnuts/blue caps on my blue car, and will soon be painting the brake calipers blue...
There aren't any clearance issues with the 57xtreme caps. They sit over top of the center hole and are hollow inside. I assume the people that run without them either didn't like the look or didn't want to spend the $30ish per cap additional cost. |
updated OP for better quality photos :)

I have the 18s on order, to go with my Pro Kit. |
Damn. Those look GREAT! I am honestly loving 19" wheels on these cars!

Yep, 57Xtreme, matt graphite. Not a fan of the white pockets, so got the standard spec.

I voted red lugs. Generally, I think it will look too busy having 3 different colors among the wheels, center caps, and lug nuts (but black lug nuts are passable). Either make the lugs match the wheel or the center cap. Generally, if the lugs match the color of your car, I'd like the center cap to either match the color of the car also or the color of the wheel or just go with no center caps if they don't match.

Nice setup. I am going to install the same wheels on my 86 GTS. Whats the ride like with the 265s on the rear ? Not too understeery ? |

Awesome.
Yeah I was hoping to increase rear wheel grip myself but wasn't sure if 265s where going to be too much rear grip. But sounds like its ok. I'm not that experienced of a driver either having nearly all FWD cars before so RWD is a bit scary in the wet for me with the stock wheels. Already spun out once in the wet and thought right, need wider tires on the back. lol |

Just one other question. Did you need hub centering rings for these also ? Whats the hub bore on these wheels if you know that would be great ?
Thanks. |
