What pads you getting? I've got CarboTech XP10's on order.

I went with the Stoptech pads over the Hawk HPS. Aren't the Carbotechs pretty hardcore?

Also have Stoptech SS F&R lines, and powerslot front rotors.

ARGH... as I was sitting in the McD's drive thru just a few minutes ago and had my window down, I heard the unmistakable high pitched sound as if an injector seal has decided to do some ugly to me.

Guess i'll be dropping by the dealership tomorrow... *cries*

They are, but I'm not really a track novice. Honestly if you don't want to fade at the track you'll need at least XP8s (from Carbotech). A dual use track/street pad really won't cut it.

I generally agree, but I'll add that it depends on where you are on the curve. First track day ever? or DE3/4? I haven't taken my BRZ out yet so my comments are not specific to this platform, but most early DEr's will do fine with dual use pads and probably with stock pads (although our's have a reputation so that might be pushing it).

It's more likely you're just experiencing the "chirp" from the di pump.

Di seal failure would be stumbling item and "popping"

Agreed, and that's why I mentioned I'm not a novice. Sorry for any confusion

So there are 3 FR-S/BRZ on base, one blue, white and a red one (driven by a female). Anyways, If you're on here say hi! Also, for those in Cary, do you have any idea where the vape shop is at?

Thanks for the recommendation. Do the XP8's squeal during normal driving?

I'll be signing up for my 2nd HPDE at CMP sometime this fall. We'll see how these dual use pads hold up. My stock setup was completely faded at the end of my 1st HPDE.

What is your maintenance routine after a track day? Are you changing any fluids/parts?

Can't speak to the XP8, but Hawk DTC-60 and HP+ both squeal around town. It takes a few days after the track event, but it will happen. CMP is notoriously hard on brakes, I don't think I'd take a knife to a gunfight there.

I run hp+ front and hps rear with motul fluid.

No squealing just heavy dust from the hp+.

I have a good aerosol anti squeal I put on my shims.
