New Zealand GT86 Owner
 

Hey guys,

My name is Ash and I recently picked up my 2013 GT86 aero package. I love this car and very happy to be back in the Toyota family as I owned a Mazda MX5 that I swapped a 13B rotary into and as much fun as it was I always wanted to go back to my Toyota roots as my whole family owns Toyota's and I own a Toyota Supra that I am building as well (for the last 6 years of ownership) lol.

I plan to use this car as my daily driver to work and back as well as doing some drift days. I will modify it slowly with an exhaust and wheels but thats probably as far as it will go since I just want to enjoy it.

I look forward to meeting you guys on the forums and will update this thread with as much new content or pictures as I can.

GReddy hood lift strut kit installed, very simple install and secure brackets makes opening the bonnet and closing it easy. Only problem found is now the struts make the bonnet harder to close due to the bonnet being so light so you have to use your fingers to actually push it into the locking mechanism. Carbon always looks good though :p

Got some track time on the local track near me with a few other GT86's. Was a great day and fun learning the limitations on the stock brakes/pads as well as street tyres. Now I have a firm upgrade path for brakes and tyres and have times to help me judge how well these upgrades work. I am looking at StopTech pads/rotors and lines for now and then later Wilwood brake kit.
