noise when releasing clutch/shift resistance
A few days ago i replaced the transmission fluid with Redline MTL, and installed the Perrin rear shifter bushing and Kartboy crank pulley. It was smooth as could be for the first day or so. Today i noticed shifting becoming more difficult and encountering strange resistance/blockage when shifting, mainly into 1st, 2nd and 3rd. It's more so at lower rpms but 3rd in particular feels weird even at higher rpms. Just now on my way home, twice when i was nearing a stop, i had the clutch pedal to the floor, shifted to neutral and released the clutch pedal, as soon as i let the pedal out there was a brief clicking or ratcheting type noise. Am I looking at a possible issue with the clutch or throwout bearing or something else?

dude I have the same thing! I find that it only happens when I'm letting the clutch out in neutral while coming to a stop BUT, if I take my hand completely off the shifter before letting the clutch out it doesnt happen. weird

actually just remembered i heard the clicking noise once before a few weeks ago as well before installing the rear shifter bushing and fluid. It always had some resistance getting into gear in the past as well. it was temporarily cured after installing these parts but that lasted all of a day or so before returning and getting worse

I also hear a clicking noise as I let go of the clutch as well and I'm still using OEM fluid and havent done anything to the tranny.
When I'm idling and kicking the clutch I can hear it, but as soon as I turn off the car it no longer makes that clicking noise. Must have something to do with the release point, I dunno. Dont bother me though |

get the ticking noise when I let out the clutch or just by accelerating or letting off the throttle in most gears. Only modification I've done is a perrin tranny support. Also the noise seems to be coming from the front right wheel area. |

If for some reason the clutch isn't fully releasing it would make shifting harder, but that wouldn't cause any clicking noise when releasing the clutch.
