Friday Ruined...
So my raven is parked in my works parking lot and I walk past my car and notice some, what I thought was mud on my front bumper. Get down to check it out and there is this huge scrape on the bottom of my bumper. I have no clue how this happened! My cars not lowered, and everytime I even hear a little scrape I automatically pull off the road and check my car. Looks like I ether have a stressful project in front of me or I'll be pulling out the wallet. http://i1261.photobucket.com/albums/...psb08aa311.jpg

Ouch. Sorry to see that. At least it looks like the plastic isn't fractured and where it's at it shouldn't be too big a problem for a body shop just to blend in that area and not have to paint the entire part.
I've got a corney saying: If that's the worst that happens you've got it made. |

It is strange how the scrape curves with the bumper though. But like everyone is saying it could have been much worse. Your wallet shouldn't take to much of a blow.

would be around $260 with my shop rates to fix properly

For what it's worth you might want to check with your insurance company. I think the following examples will explain why. If you hit a thrown tire tread (from a big truck) that was in the middle of the street that would be considered a collision loss because of it being a 'fixed' object. If, on the other hand, a truck ahead of you in a lane to your right or left threw a tread and it came across into your lane (missle) hitting your car that would be considered a comprehensive claim. Many people carry a small or even perhaps no deductible under their comprehensive coverage.

Looks like you could clean that up with one of the many scratch removers available at auto parts stores or Walmart. Might not be perfect, but that location is almost not visible unless you bend down. Worth a shot until you decide to repaint it.

Looks like a good excuse to buy a front lip

Just get a front lip and cover it up, problem fixed! lol I mean for the price it takes to fix you might as well spend a little more for a lip
