Rocket Bunny widebody on stock rims?

hey all, ive got a limited budget im looking to do the rocket bunny widebody but would like to see a pic of how it would look on stock wheels because if it looks bad id like to know beforehand

It will look VERY silly. Save up a little longer and get wheels that fit at the same time.

Agreed. That kit really requires wider/stanced wheels anyway, so keep saving until you are ready to do it all.

If you make them fill the fender flares using giant spacers and a drop, it could work and be unique. But if completely stock with just RB kit, no. I was just looking at these pics right before I stumbled into your thread:

You do realize how much money goes into the RB kit right? I don't think you do. If you have to ask about something like this, just don't do it.

You never go wide body with OEM wheels.

It's been more than a few years since I've done any sort of bodykit installation on a vehicle, but I can imagine that, if anything, the price has only significantly increased with simple inflation, the skyrocketing costs of good paint, and the seeming reduction in demand for such services.

A good widebody install even 10 years ago could run one north of $5,000. I would imagine that a quality install today even on a quality kit would run somewhere in the $7500+ range. Plus the cost of the kit itself -- which is in the $5000 neighborhood I believe

If one is going to spend somewhere in the realm of $15,000 for a full widebody kit/install/paint -- is the extra ~10% more for decent wheels/tires really worth worrying about?

Please don't use stock wheels.

CaptainSlow 07-18-2013 08:28 AM

Either you have the money to do it or you don't. That doesn't just mean buying the kit, but buying it, paying to have it professionally painted, installed, and the wheels to go along with it (and sometimes upgraded suspension and brakes to go along with all of that). Keep saving until you have all the money or you will really regret it. Can't run that wide of wheels on the stock body and can't run the RB kit with stock wheels and have it look good. Have to make all the changes at once.

Yeah...please don't do this right now or anytime soon. Please take people's advice and save money for the "whole package". On my way home from work today, I saw I widebody 370, custom paint...factory wheels. smh
