Recent Purchases made, speak of quality and how they compare

So i made a few purchases of recent, not all came in but want to speak of the items as of now that I have received.

Perrin Cold Air Intake
Zeta Intake Tube
Invidia N1 catback
Motiv Overpipe

Waiting on
Revworks UEL
Invidia Catless Downpipe

Let me start from the beginning of the list of the items so far i've receieved.

Perrin Cold Air intake- The item is really well put together, you hear about Perrins quality and I can confirm that the product is def up to par of what Perrin offers. No disappointment here, will agree to the crowd of people who rave about Perrins work.

Zeta Intake tube- This item is as well looking in on the inside as it is on the outside; really well put together. There is a smooth flow on the inside of the pipe, no bumpiness anywhere to disrupt air flow, the product is a simple but yet really nice designed item. Once again, i am satisfied with this purchase.

Invidia N1 catback- This catback is a good product. Would not say excellent but, good. One reason being is the left hand side on the tip of the exhaust, there was a slight bent, not sure during shipment if this happened or the vendor who had shipped the item seen it but shipped it anyways. The welding is good, once again not great but good! Its a budget exhaust, cant expect perfection from this item but the sound is UNBELIEVABLE. I am a little upset about the dent on the left hand side tip but, the sound overwhelms that. I am satisfied with this exhaust reason being because of the note it gives off, its incredible. Quality is ok, may have been better if it wasnt for the dent but overall its a good, cheap exhaust.

Motiv Overpipe- Last but not least the Motiv overpipe, now I cant begin to speak about quality on this item. The welds, craftsmanship everything is superb. When people rave about Motivs products i see why, out of all the pieces so far I have to say this is the product that has the most quality(IMHO), the overpipe is a work of art. Welds, bends, smoothness Motiv really makes a great product! Plus you get a free Motiv T-shirt as well(awesome T-Shirt)! After seeing the quality of this product I was upset i had not purchased the Motiv Catless Overpipe instead of the Invidia, only reason I went with the invidia is because it was part of a package deal with the N1 catback exhaust. If i can go back I would DEF had purchase the motiv catless downpipe, the quality is AMAZING! Def recommend other future buyers to purchase from Motiv. Great work!

I will make sure to review the Revworks header and Invidia downpipe once received. Ill try to get photos in as well. Btw, purchased from FT86SpeedFactory, great customer service, really helpful and informative on your purchases. Tried to call them back though to ask about the N1's tip, had not received a response but that was problem the only dilemma so far with the purchases, other than that there amazing to work with! Im hoping Revworks can match Motivs quality! Big ups to the guys at Motiv, GREAT WORK!

Motiv is the absolute best quality product I've ever seen. I have the test pipe, it speaks volumes when a company offers life-time warranty and even sends free t-shirts when you order parts.

As for Invidia, I guess you get what you pay for.. Nice looking exhaust though for someone on a budget.

My N1 was packaged very well, and even included VERY heavy duty cardboard tubes over the tips to prevent any sort of bending. You could stand/jump on the tubes and they would not crush.

I also had a Q300 packaged in a similar fashion.

I thought the welds/flanges were good, very flat and sealed with no problems with the included gaskets/hardware. Very good for the price.

Yes i agree with your statement, in my eyes you get what you pay for Invidia exhausts. Your not looking at top of the line welding, quality but your getting a great budget exhaust. Not sure how well it will hold up after lots of use but, one things for sure the Motiv piece i have no concern over, that thing is of quality!

Couldn't agree more, invidias a great budget exhaust, welds are good but, when comparing to Motiv, the company is head over heals for craft. Anyone shopping around for parts that Motiv creates, I highly advise to buy their products over the other brands!

Look into Perrin if you haven't already. I have the motiv test pipe and if you thought that was quality, wait til you see perrin's.

But not all welds look the same.

Just to clarify, I think the Invidia is a great option for someone on a budget. For instance, I want to get coilovers but don't want to spend 3 grand+ on some KW 3's even though they are wesome, more like 1 grand at the most with Megan Racing's or Buddy Clubs. Same goes for people and exhaust, maybe someone doesn't want to spend more than 700 hundred whereas I spent around a grand for mine. Invidia has a pretty large customer base, probably second to Perrin.

I picked Milltek because they kept the muffler close to where the stock muffler sits which helps with air going under the car and not getting trapped. With the Invidia, it's dual canister style with no muffler in the center which leaves a huge gap for air to run through and potentially slow the car down at speed. It can be fixed with a rear diffuser but is another 400.

Here is my Milltek exhaust from under, oh so sexy :D:

I bought a Perrin Cold Air intake, obviously theres no welds and what not on that piece. As far as the intake piece goes, I can speak highly of it and say it is without of doubt of quality. Perrin has a huge fan base and theres without a doubt why, there work is great. I can only comment on several brands ive seen of metal pipes. Have yet to see a Perrin overpipe/downpipe/catback so cant comment on the welds. Out of all the brands Ive seen which is most Motiv stands out to me by far. Ive yet to see perrins though but, im pretty sure its at the top with Motiv! Support these brands guys, there works are quality!

I looked into the Militek before I purchased the N1 and Militek without a doubt makes great work. There really when known on German platforms as well, they make a great exhaust system and supercharger kit for the Mk4 R32. There work is great! At first before I purchased my exhaust system I was looking into the best performing Axleback but, after research it came to show that there really is no power to be made out of the axlebacks. So after numerous confirms of that statement, I went with(IMHO) the best sounding exhaust system which to me was the Invidia N1, especially with the combination of parts coming in i have. It sucks, i would of payed an extra $300-$400 to get Motiv quality of this exhaust but, i had to settle for what was given because this is the sound i wanted out of the catback!
