You like sneakers???
Well these dudes like'em more...
[u2b]7XedFItfrC8[/u2b] As much as I like sneakers and collecting them, I would never do what these guys are doing right now. For those who have no idea what a Yeezy is, its a shoe made by Nike for and by Kanye West. |
In the 90s sneakers were way cooler. Sneakerhead-ism now is dumb, it just ain't what it used to be.
|
These guys are complete idiots.*
*I spent a night outside Best Buy to buy the X-Box 360 at launch. But that was only one night. |
There's an easier way of doing this... get a part-time job at foot locker ffs
|
I'm a sneakerhead and most of these guys are just there to re-sell. Make a couple hundred for a 3+ week wait...LOL

I have a decent collection of Jordans but there are only a host of pairs that I actually like. Once they went from Nike Air to Jordan Brand, that was when they went to B grades. I remember getting jumped in junior high for wearing either Jordan, British Knight and LA Gear shoes! These young cats are killing it! SMH at the recent riots for the Galaxy Foams! They are so ugly too! :barf: [u2b]S2LttPLRU0o[/u2b] [u2b]CELroe-oz3k[/u2b] |
I remember growing up in the 90's I had pair of Jordans. They meant alot and in that era you wanted to be MJ. Now, I can't see myself getting Jordans even if I wanted to. They are expensive and you gotta lose an arm or leg to get a pair. Plus, they lose value to me if everyone is wearing them. But hey, if you want to spend money on sneakers then it isn't any of my concern.

Reminds me of Idiocracy.
These people are as dumb as they come. |
k-swiss was huge in cali in the 90s. don't hardly see them at all now. style is going more towards 70s and 80s now with converse and vans lookin shoes. i'm into pumas personally.
http://www.4puma.com/images/puma/pum...ic-shoes-A.jpg edit: daaaaaaym 1g for this ish? and people are rioting for them? gotta agree that's wack. http://infegy.com/buzzstudy/wp-conte...9_1428828.jpeg |

MJ is the G.O.A.T but any Jordans from '97 and below and designed by Tinker Hatfield and originals are probably the only ones worth anything. I like the newer technology, the lighter more breathable shoe like the Kobe's or Lebron 8 & 9's. |

Stupid on Nike's behalf b/c they didn't officially release them on their website amd mentioned "Limited"! That made them go crazy for them; want vs need was easily thrown out the door. |
So if you are going for resell how do you decide what size to go after?

I was hoping that the Jordan V Quai 54's came out in the US but they were only released in Europe since the tourney was in France. Because of that, they were all over ebay going for $400 US. They are nice in all but that is just way too much $. http://cdn.hypebeast.com/image/2011/...-quai-54-0.jpg |

Hahaha hell no. I'm married with a kid. Don't have time for that. |

I remember calling all of the main and even Nike stores a week before the release and it went from, "yeah, we're getting them in", to "call back in a couple days" to "sorry, we are not receiving any pairs". They are nice in all but I wasn't going to pay more than retail and once I saw how much they were going for on ebay, I was fugg that!! :bs: |

I missed the grapes due to school, that pissed me off then and now just thinking about it. So I'm still waiting for JB to retro the Grapes again too or the so called Grape and Lanely pack. |

I got the cement IV's last month only b/c the last release was '99. They are nice in all but they just don't look and feel the same. Quote:
I'm waiting on several pairs this year but I know I should stop since this is getting out of hand! Playoff XII's 4/12 http://images.sneakernews.com/wp-con...s-thumb-rd.jpg Military Blue IV's 6/9/12 http://images.sneakernews.com/wp-con...y-rd-thumb.jpg Fire Red IV's 8/12 http://images.sneakernews.com/wp-con...2-rd-thumb.jpg These, I know people are going to go crazy over!! OG Red IV's 11/12 http://images.sneakernews.com/wp-con...-3-11-12-1.jpg OG XI's 12/12 http://images.sneakernews.com/wp-con...-3-11-12-4.jpg |
^ Playoff 12's (i think you meant 4/21/12), the whole Olympic pack by JB and the Pippens, bred 4's, and another pair of bred 11's wouldn't hurt too since that's my favorite colorway.
I've seen the non mars 4's and didn't like'em in person, they looked a little off for some reason but couldn't put my finger on it and the military blue is a pass because of all the shoes that are coming out this summer and probably be the same quality as the cements. Oh and I thought the og space jams felt right to ball in back then. I killed my pair to death, smh, that was dumb. That's why I had to pick up all the 11's so far and wear them on certain occasions for casual use only. |
Everytime I think of the Concords release.

Even the military blue IV's look off to me! Like the pigment of blue now is enough for me to notice. As you mentioned the cement quality seemed a bit off and that was mostly due to the shade of gray on this release compared to the '99's. The Space Jams were very stiff, just like the XIII's. There is definitely a change in build quality and materials used. I have the '03 black/white X's which I rocked on the court until the sole started to come apart. I picked up the recent X Chicago's and to me they feel completely different. |
Quote:
I passed on 10's when I was younger but I picked up the chicago's as well so I don't know much about the difference between the og's and now based on comfort. I guess the 11's changed somewhat, but it doesn't bother me. I think the most comfortable shoe to wear casually are the III's, V's, and XIII's right now from JB imo. The IX's look comfortable and probably resemble more to the 10 so they might not be as bad either but passed on all IX's too. |
Are these at least 'couture' shoes? Like made in Europe or something? Not on the same assembly line as the rest of them?

"People got their babies out here. It is cold they wrapped up in blankets. What if yo child get pneumonia for a pair of shoes." "I'm a shoe connoisseur" Classic. |
^ That reminds when some woman left her baby in the cold winter night in their car to be in line for the Concords.
Well someone took notice and reported it. A cop had to break in to free the baby and the women was arrested too. |
It's not worth my time even I sometimes sit at home doing nothing. I can wait for another weeks to get a pair. Anyway, I'm more into Puma now.

Reading some of the posts, reminds me one of friend. He's sneaker-holic and it have ridiculous amount of sneakers... I wonder what happened to him. I haven't seen him for a while. Last time I saw him, he had like 3~4 dozens of sneakers w him LOL

And I for one have gotten better at it this past year by letting go a few shoes by either giving them away or sell them if I don't wear them anymore. |

Here & there, I see him posting on FB selling some of his sneakers. |
