vs. Mazdaspeed3?

Saw the GTI comparison thread so I figured I'd throw up this comparo...

Similar to the GTI/mini/veloster the MS3 is FWD turbo. It's a bit heavier than those cars though... 3300lbs but ~260hp, starts around $25k. I only bring it up because I see quite a lot of mazda3's at track days. Thoughts?

the frs will be slower i would imagine but likely more fun. its probably closer to the msp than the ms3.

Not to paint with too broad of a brush, but the MS3 is fairly cheap, has a bunch of bhp/torques for the price, and is easy to drive. So someone can take an MS3 to track days, pass Corvettes and Porsches and then tell people about it and/or post youtube videos.

Want a fast Q car, its a really good choice, but I wouldn't pick it over a BRZ/FRS.

Cheap power with an Accessport, downpipe, intake, FMIC, catback. It's very utilitarian and has good seats.
The FWD limitations are difficult to overlook. It can't put power down for shit in the lower gears.
