Dog nazis?

Does your dog try to jump out of the car when she hears a drive through speaker? Does she accidentally bump you out of gear walking across the center console? Have you seen the Allstate "mayhem" commercial featuring Mayhem with a dog in his lap?

Just because you cant train you dog, to act proper in a vehicle does not mean others cant. Usually the way a dog behaves is base on the owner and if you dog does all that it says alot about you...

Get seat covers, such as leather/vinyl covers (Clazzio or Katzkin for example). It'll make hair a lot easier to get rid of (the stock FRS material seems to really stick to dog hair..), plus you get the leather seats that a lot of people consider an 'upgrade'.

OR, get a dedicated dog seat cover like this:

There's also 'bench seat' type versions for the back seats.

Just remove them from the car when your dog isn't riding in it and throw it in the washer/storage/whatever.

I've got an Australian shepherd who is constantly shedding, the only choice is to vacuum. I have a shop vac and it works out great, my only complain in the slobber, that ends up everywhere especially after going to the dog park and he's panting really hard. I've got drool spots all over.

I've also considered using a small dog bed in the car, so she knows where her area is. She really likes looking outside though. When I still had the Tacoma, I thought of possibly using Velcro to secure a dog bed over the armrest when she was riding. There is just so much less room for that in the FR-S, so I would have to place the bed on a seat. I bet she would really enjoy the back with the seat folded down, maybe with a blanket spread out. OP, do you think that would work?

My dogs LOVE being vacuumed. They like it better than dinner time.

lint rollers as someone mentioned. worked wonders in my other cars, haven't let a doggie in my frs and don't plan on it lol.

My sister has one of those silicone grooming brushes "As Seen On TV" for her cat's hair transferred from clothes.
Seems to work well. Rolls up hair on the seats or sticks to the bristles. Gets them pretty clean.
The stuff that sticks to it washes right off. Think you can get them at PetCo too.

Actually, I have two layers of dog seat cover in the back. Works pretty well.
