Feint noise when stepping on gas
 

Hi,

I was doing some spirited driving on back roads last night and the jumped around quite a bit during cornering due to very bumpy surfaces which caused the LSD to kick in. After awhile I noticed a slightly feint noise before the throttle fully engages when I step on the gas. Hard to explain the noise, but it sounds a bit like turbo induction noise? (sorry for the crap description) It is extremely feint (can barely hear it) and goes away in barely a second. It also doesn't happen often.

Wonder if anyone has had this issue? Should I be worried about this? Or any other parts of my car after going through some badly constructed mountain roads? Thanks in advance!

Does it only take place when you give it gas at relatively low RPMs? 1500-2500? My car makes a noise that sounds like what you described, but only occasionally, and only under 2500 rpm. Sounds just like my friends APR S2 GTi when he first gives it gas. Very hollow induction sound. It's done it since it was new for me, and the 2.75" catback made it much more noticeable. Never heard it on my friend's identical FR-S though. :\
