Looking For A Test Car -- SF Bay Area

Hello norcal folks, i am looking for a stock FR-S or BRZ to do some product testing and tuning on a new UEL header i am currently working on.

Owner/Car Must Meet these requirements:

1. An active member of Norcal Owners Club and/or Norcal 86 Drive
2. All stock car (engine and exhaust wise)
3. Willing to leave the car with WORKS for a couple of days.
4. Car needs to be a Manual
5. Active on the forums

We will need your car to create a flash tune for the UEL header.

In return, i will offer you 50% off the Header and a free tune, dyno, and installation.

Here's the catch.... you will need to purchase the ECUTEK license ($300)

let me know who's interested

I will give more info once i have selected the perfect candidate

darn it, I have a catless front pipe already. otherwise i'd be perfect for this. LOL well good luck to whoever gets this chance, I promised myself I'd not go down the guinea pig route again. (due to bad experience with other tuner shop, not WORKS)

Can you revert to stock front pipe?

I can, and its really tempting. but flashbacks to a tuner shop wrecking my new MR2 keep haunting me. :sigh: once bitten, twice shy. :(

I would if the shop was closer. Getting the car there and back would be my problem. Oh and I have the trd exhaust that came with my car.

I could do it. I haven't touched the engine or exhaust yet.

nothing will be fabricated on tho the car like what WPR did to yours.

this merely an header install, dyno and tune

car will spend most of the time on the dynapack

Are you guys going to also tune out that DI timing nonsense? The investment of the ECUtek on the donor car and then only half off on that header? Depending on who you get I'd pitch then the header in exchange for some advertisement/promotional work.

If I wasn't so up tight about the emissions implications I'd be PMing you.

My car is still 100% stock, 6MT, and I can drive to you, no problem. I also get paid this week, so shelling out the $300 for the license is no problem. What is the cost for the headers looking like, before or after the discount?

Chee-Hu 07-11-2013 03:11 PM

I'm 100% stock as well, but am a bit too far. I'm willing to drive if you don't mind me dropping the car off on the weekend. $ for the license and the header is available at time pf pick up.

Actually now I am curious, why my only? Is the fitment different?
