The first one is AMAZING. I wish I could have that tiny spoiler/wing!

I know Russel! yeah iv been following him for awhile too, you know he did the all the box art for Forza Motorsports 3.

He also uploads his 3dmax models for purchase which is well worth it as its high poly models with full interior modeled.

The rear tire on the first one is driving me nuts. I can see where the render and the image meet, and it doesn't look natural. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I think it's just how the scene and car's lighting aren't quite the same.

Otherwise those models are legit.

I didn't know that! Awesome!

I have purchased a print of his off of deviantart, but didn't know about the models, either.

Thanks!

The renders are absolutely stunning especially the 1st one. Although i don't wanna nitpick but not digging orange wheel lip. All of your renders blew me away. Excellente.

Wow, GT7 already in the making ;)

Hate to say it, but these are definitely NOT my renders. I can only dream of being able to do this!

I too have been following Russel for many years. His models are superb and I modeled my FR-S in the hopes of getting somewhere close (missed the marked by a good bit). I like how he doesn't just use an HDRI to get the reflections but used projections on geometry behind the car so that the shader's reflection picks it up for use in the comp. Even the Ambient Occlusion around where the wheels touch the ground is done well (something that is hard to get right). He uses Max for the models and VRay for renders iirc.

I really gotta get myself an ings+1 kit..... when can we start 3D printing these kits out?!
