Android Stick + BeSpoke?
A video can explain a lot better than me:
[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5E2KW3W7qA&feature=youtube_gdata_player"]PT546-00121 - YouTube[/ame] (from UbSaMrC) Has anyone else done this with their HUs? Don't have too much expertise with audio video but doing some reading it doesn't look too farfetched. Has anyone made a DIY to connect an Android stick to the BeSpoke? Ideally I would love to keep the USB intact to play off USB flash drives, have a backup camera, and be able to switch into Android mode for apps like torque or google maps (internet tethered). Also I'm assuming its impossible but can one use the touchscreen instead of a mouse/droidmote like app to control the Android unit? Or is it possible for the Android stick to utilize the stock microphone? Thanks. |
Or a better way to do this is maybe to use an MHL adapter to hook up the audio video to the Bespoke? That way you just control from your phone and shoots onto the screen.
There seems to be a few convertors that go from HDMI to RCA but is it necessary? Will it work if you do phone -> mini USB to RCA -> HU? |
ok how can I get it so I can do the same thing as in that video?

This thread has a lot of useful information:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35778 From what I am understanding is you activate the A/V settings in your BeSpoke which gives you RCA connections. Using an Android stick (HDMI connection) you can use a HDMI -> RCA convertor box and power it using a fuse or wire -> RCA connections and connect it to your HU. Or if you want to do MHL mirroring on your phone use an MHL adapter (mini usb to HDMI) then to the convertor. |
