Tail light condinsation
 

So I know there is plenty of threads out there about the taillights but it just happened to me so I went to get it fixed and they told me they had to order the part. Ok fine I said. I just got a call from the rep. And he just told me once they get the part in my car would have to go to the body shop. There's a new bullitin out that says that they have to remold we're the taillight sits or something he really couldn't tell me.

Has anyone heard of this yet?????

I don't know why they need to send your car to the body shop to do it though.

Ya I really don't want to send it to the body shop for just a taillight.

Because it was such a widespread issue, instead of replacing the entire tail-light assembly the dealers are instructed to simply, clean and dry out the old tailight, then reseal the old tail-light and re-install. I personally wouldn't care if its all for free, which it is.

I had condensation in my tailight left side and i put in the sun and it disappeared :)

Just noticed my right tail light is full of water. Taking in to dealer tomorrow. WTF already had CEL issue.

We had really bad rain storms come through my area last week and I had condensation in my tail light too. It was only the passanger side but one of my local dealerships was happy to adress the issue

Ya there going to address it to but what is with the car going to the body shop to fix the problem.
