Scratches

Found some scratches on my car that look like they came from tree branches or maybe rocks on the road but they are not deep and can only be seen honestly if you are very close up on my car. Anybody know of any reputable places on Long Island or within the 5 boroughs that will be able to get them out and not beat me in the head pricewise.

Why don't you try some Scratch X from Meguiars first. Maybe the scratches are only on the clearcoat unless they are paint chips.

I will take care of them when we install your exhaust. No worries

I've been known to buff out a few scratches while not beating you over the head. Give me a shout. Could even stop by the shop and I'll take a look if you like.

Sounds like a plan. Are you going to be at Power468 meet and greet this saturday? I bought mcguires scratch x and I'm going to try that. If you will be at the meet and greet saturday, I might see you if I can make it. If not I'm on the Island and I will just get in touch with you if I can't get rid of the scratches. Thanks

+1

Bryan does great work - He's worked on both my BRZ and Genesis. If he can't buff out your scratches, you likely need a new paint job!

Not sure. I'm scheduled to work but more importantly, not sure what the story is with the 468 shop . Seems like most performance shops already a detailer on hand. Not sure what their deal is but I'm not looking to step on anyone's toes.

I'm about 5 mins from that shop though. 31 Eads St. in West Babylon. let me know if you'd like to stop by on saturday. Should be there buzzing away on an m3

Thread jacking!

I have a very small dent on my trunk next to my plate that I have no idea how it got there. There is a small paint chip but it's not into the metal. I don't really mind the paint, but the dent is annoying. Think any of you guys could look at it saturday since I'll be down that way?

sklimo 07-12-2013 01:33 AM

While washing my car, I found a scratch on the roof. I think the dealership did it washing the car- I should have told them to leave it alone, but, whatever. I'm getting some Scratch-X to deal with it, as suggested. Do any of you have some helpful tips on how to best apply it?
