BRZ Spoiler Attachment
Did anyone have the foresight to look for signs of how the deck lid spoiler is attached?
I preordered a limited in SSM and I'm not sure there will be a large potential for trunk swaps in that color, I know all the cars I've had to do a spoiler delete for it meant getting a new decklid or getting the holes re-welded and painting...I'm not sure a spoiler delete is feasible at this point in the early production. So I'm ignorantly hoping that they just use really good double sided tape, hopes and a couple unicorn dreams to hold the spoiler on... who's with me? but seriously did any one stop drooling long enough to look, god knows i didn't |
Personally, I couldn't tell. Underneath the trunk is carpeted.

Not sure about the logistics of removing it. I posted this thread in the mid-atlantic section:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4015 Looking for someone with a WRB Limited in the DC area that wants to do a trunk swap. I guess I'm the odd ball because I actually like the look. |
It will most likely have through holes in the trunk. I'm hoping someone comes up with a replacement spoiler that's more lip-like, that covers factory holes.

Yeah the spoiler is bolt onto the trunk with 4 large holes on the edge of the trunck. I saw a photo of it before but can't find it anymore.
|
yeah there's no way they would ghetto install the spoiler with double sided tape lol.

Hopefully the TRD duckbill will cover up the Limited attachment and reuse the holes.
