LOL.. you guys are funny. I know what you mean. I didn't do my break in "perfectly" either. I did rev up to about 6500 one time. And I've done a little too much freeway driving which had me at around 3200 rpm fairly consistently.
Just keep in mind that it's "recommended" and not like you HAVE to do it. I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination. But I do firmly believe that it will help with the longevity of the car. |
I'm no expert by any means, but I bought a 2003 WRX new and broke it in following these recommendations very loosely. No issues with it, current owner is still driving it like crazy and it's gotta be nearing 200k by now.
