BRZ car meet...tell me about it?

I've only been to one car meet in my life, and it was a Lancer meet back in h.s. (circa 2002-2003). All we did was get free burgers n soda, and gawk at ppl's engines, cuz ppl didn't let us touch their interiors. And this was b4 U.S. even got the LanEvo, so these were OZ rally editions or converted Mirages lol.

Anywho, what typically happens at a proper car meet? What do ppl do, and where do they meet?

I've been to a number of them in the past. None lately, but been to enough. We used to meet a lot in parks and a lot in the Malibu area. Then drive to Duke's or somewhere near and grab a bite to eat. Then a caravan down back to LA. Nothing spectacular, but it's always nice to meet fellow enthusiasts and check everyone else's cars out.

usually meet in a food establishment parking lot generally it is advisable to grab something to eat so you are welcomed back and not "loitering" (starbucks or BOBA houses are popular for this reason.)

Then people just hang out shoot the shit some look more like car shows some use it as staging for a canyon run or street racing.

different groups tolerate different amounts of hooliganism usually pending age group and police presence in the surrounding area.

Alot of times people bring RC cars to drift around the parking lot. sometimes people watch stupid drift videos or option videos on ICE systems, play stereos, play with hydraulics.

we would meet in area where its close to most people..like I live in Irvine

I would probably say to meet some where in tustin..santa ana...costa mesa mission viejo...

good spots would be like Tustin market place at in n out parking lot...or laguna niguel mall next to california pizza kitchen..lol or in n out.....(could you tell i like in n out haha)

those are just a few options...

LOL. What does "shoot the shit" look like in a public setting?

Caravans sounds kinda dorky, but might be kinda cool considering the relative "novelty" of this car :)

you can meet new friends with shared interest and just mingle, really... it's pretty cool if it's the "right" meet and not at a sketchy/shady neighborhood...

I think it all depends on the community that is hosting the meet. If its a general car meet then it depends on the demographic, but if its a small community or group of people then it can be like a small family reunion.

It's mostly just other people walking around looking at your/another car and talking, socializing, etc. I've been to a couple of "decked out" meets with a dj and show. Like i said, it depends on the people hosting the event.

Dude, let's definitely do a meet at the Cars and Coffee when our cars arrive. Wouldn't mind waking early just for that. It'd be our "debut".

Ooooo I'll finally have a car that I wouldn't be embarrassed to bring to Automotoplex. :)
