perrin master cylinder brace installation troubles
So installation of this thing looks simple enough, but I admittedly haven't had any experience with jam nuts before, so I am having some issues installing the jam nut onto the set screw. I can thread the nut onto the set screw by hand until the end of the screw is flush with the jam nut, but I can't for the life of me, thread it past that point, even with an open end wrench. I went to my local hardware store to check the thread sizes on both the screw and the nut, and they were, in fact, different. Is this supposed to be the case or did my kit come with the wrong screw/nut? Any insight is appreciated.
Thanks! |
Someone else here has to have the perrin mcb, right? Or even just experience with jam nuts in general?

It's the wrong nut. Contact Perrin or the vendor you bought it from and get the correct part.

Thank you for the quick replies to the emails! It made it a lot easier to get you the parts needed! I didn't want to take the risk of having to go back and forth so I sent you out the jam nut and the soc set as well! |
