Anyone use AMMO NYC?
 

Their product seems to be really good for what it does, particularly looking at the AMMO Hydrate. I really want to purchase it but one bottle + shipping is $35. Which is ridiculously high when the product itself is already pretty steep. What are your thoughts and are there any other products similar to this?

Yes i use Ammo products. Do note that Hydrate won't work as well unless you have Ammo Skin because they work hand in hand. Though it will still work well on cars with other waxes.

Hydrate is amazing though, thats a product i'm surprised we don't see more about.

The great part of the Ammo line up is everything works together and benefits each other. Though personally i don't use his paint soap (I use tons of soap and its a lot of $$) or wheel products just yet.

I'd wish they'd make bigger containers to buy, the products are expensive but i do find them to be worth it. This is a boutique detailing company...

Wow the Skin is ridiculously expensive.. I was planning to just use the hydrate. Will this basically replace waxing? I really want the hydrate because I want to be able to wash my car with the foam bottle and pressure wash it spraying it with water, pretty much a no scrub wash and then use hydrate to dry. Making my weekly washes less demanding. Then once in a while give it a normal wash.

Skin will basically replace waxing on the defensive side of waxing, skin gives a good shine but as all synthetic waxes, it won't give that deep shine as a Carnuba wax would. But its a very hard wax that'll give the paint good protection, really hard. You can also layer the wax, but i'd argue you can layer a lot of other synthetic waxes as well.

Well what you wanna use the Hydrate for will work, just make sure what ever soap your using isn't too strong, no dish soap or anything like that.

I've been using Ammo religiously for a few months now and I have nothing but high praise for Larry's products.

I like the whole philosophy of layering protection on the car and if you haven't watched his YouTube videos, I would very much recommend them.

I was thinking to just splurge on the Skin and Hydrate since I don't really have the power tool for waxing. I don't know I'm in a dilemma, I was going to just wax once in a very long time and just use the Hydrate but I'm not sure if the products will work well with each other like using Skin and Hydrate. The soap I was going to use was Optimum No Rinse so yea nothing harsh unless I'm planning to strip the wax to wax it.

Yea I saw most of his videos and that's why I'm really interested in it.

I would say Hydrate is the one product that is a must buy.

I would agree with you from seeing the videos, it looks like the best way to dry a car. The shipping is the only thing that's bothering me, I might end up buying 2 bottles of hydrate to make it worth it.

I've been using the Wheel regimen now for a few months and have had great success. After emailing Larry back and forth I just put in an order for the Paint and Interior regimens as well. I'll let you know how it all goes!

Tried out the AMMO paint regimen for the first time on the BRZ, and I like the product application and look. Done some basic washing/waxing previously using Adams products, but saw the AMMO videos on Jalop and decided to try them out.

I think their products are overpriced. I use FK1000p as LSP, can't beat $17 for what you get. His video's are pretty cool though.

His products are pretty pricey, but i have yet to find a synthetic wax as good as his that also works well with spray wax and takes multiple layers.

I agree regarding the shipping. For instance, just looking around...how can a bag of 6 microfiber towels costs $39 in shipping? That's insane.
