Spring orientation question

Sorry for the dumb question but.

On these Tein springs does the plastic coil covers side go up or down when mounting?

Not a dumb question; opinion seems divided on this. Either way the spring will work the same. I installed TRD springs on my wife's Yaris; tight coil side at the top, because I felt it might collect less dirt and road salt in the winter. Works great, doesn't make any noise. I've seen install pictures with both orientations though.
