Wonder if it's plug and play...

Area86 07-03-2013 03:12 PM

Found this installation guide and it looks like it is plug and play. I wonder how much it will cost without installation.

wow that is far more involved than I thought it would be!

Does the crossover limit the bass going to the door speakers? If so that would be great.

The only thing that really bugs me about my car is the door panels vibrating because of the bass.

It really doesn't look that difficult. Hard part is just running the wiring harness to the head unit. Would be nice if they preinstalled the wiring harness from the factory and just tucked it away in the trunk similar to what they did for the homelink mirror plug being tucked away in the headliner.

I'm excited about the "deep base"

Right, that's exactly what I referring to. I'm glad they offer it; no doubt it will be better than the optional under-seat sub they use on their other cars.

I wouldn't be surprised if that makes it into the base wiring harness of future BRZs if they sell well.

I watched a video on an aftermarket subwoofer install that was done exactly the same way as described in those instructions lol

Was thinking of getting the oem audio plus system 400+. Wonder if this will be equivalent or better.

Stierzy34 07-03-2013 05:19 PM

I would assume that this will be better sounding than the underseat subwoofer. Hmmm, this would be a nice addition.
