Blurred lines - SDSU parking structure vs my Whiteout
I've always loved parking garages, mostly because they have so many straight lines. It's always fun to take a curvy car in to take some pictures. They REALLY stand out. I needed a new sig pic as the one I have is 5 months old and the car has been tweaked a touch, so I figured I would take a couple pics and see what came out. These were the finalists.
Anyway, nothing crazy special, just a well designed, clean car, a bored owner, and a D5000. I've already caught a couple things I would change and I do welcome CONSTRUCTIVE criticism ON MY PICTURES (lol, I'm not taking the plate off the front of the car until I can repaint the bumper ;) ) Gonna see if I can't drag @johnb831 and his BRZ out to a similar structure for some "mirror" shots. He just painted his tails red and his car is lowered at about the same height. Could be fun :party0030: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h8...ps5657cda0.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h8...ps91b17ad7.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h8...psd316d14c.jpg |
I like how the photos look B&W, but they're not, and if you look closely you can see that it's an unedited effect, that color hasn't been artificially added. Or at least you did a convincing job, lol...
The pics seem decent quality and contrast, but I'd say try for more dynamic composition, cropping and framing for more interesting shots. Also adding a black border can help frame the image. I also recommend adding a space in the text when you link the images so its easier to visually separate them, (unless that it, you want them to be viewed as a single tall image). |

I'll mess with the framing and see what I can come up with! Thanks! And you are correct. Photos are 100% unedited. |
Nice pics!!!

Hey @suaveflooder, send me the original pics and I will make them look more badass for you!
The positioning, lighting and composition and pretty good, but I can fix those levels for you to bright the whites out to play. |

You do realize this thread is in the wrong forum - FYI, your car is not a BRZ. :bonk:

nice shots. I'm a fellow D5000 owner too and I also like taking shots inside a parking garage. :)
Maybe you're not into the editing/manipulating, but I would suggest PS'ing out the white parking lines to clean up the image. For example I did that here: http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3781/9...b2709dcb_z.jpg |
Good idea! LOVE those wheels on our cars!! Nicely done!
