Curb Rash Replacement Alternative
Well, after pulling in the parking garage in the one spot that was open, this happened. http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/...s7e676e29.jpeg
So i thought, hmmm $500 to replace a bumper... gotta be something easier. So here we go. First I taped up the car. http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/...s1d0d4757.jpeg Then, using the miracle of plastidip http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/...s786732bb.jpeg I painted the whole area http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/...sf9eb0ed2.jpeg After that i got a front lip to cover the bottom edges and here is the final product. Pretty happy with it! http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/...sf942d6c7.jpeg here is a close up of the line/edges http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/...se466273d.jpeg http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/...s70e5246a.jpeg All in all the whole thing costed about 5 hours and $250 |
I just scratched my bumper in the exact same spot! I may have to do this. Thanks for posting! Btw, where did you get your front lip at less than $250. I can't seem to find one under $300. Again, awesome work!

Looks good with the lip on. Without the lip, I would probably opt to just fix the paint. The bottom line of the BRZ front bumper looks too good to just cover up
