Worn out clutch stopper
I wasn't sure where to post this, so I posted it here. There is a thin rubber stopper that stops clutch. After 5.5k miles it seems like my rubber stopped has been completely destroyed and now its basically metal on metal contact and makes a slightly unpleasant sound.
Does anyone else have this problem? Also, anyone have any solutions to this? I know 86-zn6.com sells (http://www.86-zn6.com/WORKS-Kick-Clu...Stop_p_70.html), but $24 for a rubber stopper seems like a lot. Also, since I performed the clutch adjustment I rather not mess with it again to make it work with this thicker rubber stopper. |
I have the problem as well, 86_ZN6 and I talked about that in the NorCal forums, but I haven't tried to fix it yet. I'm going to pickup a rubber stopper from home depot and then bolt it down. It'll cost a lot less than $24. Probably around $3-5 once I find the right parts. His is ready to go though, and offers adjustability as well. So it comes down to what you want to do/get out of your fix.
