Which lowering springs compatible with OEM shocks?
 

I know Race Comp makes the yellows that are matched to the stock shocks. But are there others? Please share if you know of any.

Eibach make two versions most common the Pro kit which is a 7/8th - 1" drop. Swift as mentioned, Hotchkis as well, all work well and have plenty of reviews and discussions here for sure.

Okay. Like with many aftermarket lowering springs, you usually have to pair them with aftermarket shocks. I thought the Eibachs would need harder damped shocks..? From what I have searched so far, the Race Comps seem to be the only ones that come out and tell you upfront that they were designed with the OE shocks in mind. I would hate to blow out my OE shocks from a mismatched aftermarket spring. I think Tein is the other one that makes OEM compatible springs.

STI Pink springs - That's what I have and am very happy with them and it's OEM+

We recently just sold a set of H&R Super Sport Springs to a customer, and although H&R doesn't say that they are specifically designed for OEM springs, the customer really liked them. He noticed the ride was a little stiffer, but nothing too crazy and he said it definitely improved the handling. It's a moderate drop and really improved the overall look of the vehicle. Most of these cars don't have a lot of miles on them so you should still get a fair amount of life out of the shocks. Granted they will make them go a little quicker, but you should still see a decent life span.

Same goes for the TRD ones.

Hotchkis springs work very well with the OE dampers. They also work great with Koni shocks if you decide to upgrade.

Agreed! I love my Hotchkis springs! They ride great. You actually can't really tell a difference over OEM.

I kinda want to know who has the hotchkis kit that comes with all the sway bars and such. Is it worth it in terms of handling?

Not all TRD (JDM) springs fit with OE shocks. I went with the STI springs for that reason. The new ones which do work with OE shocks (Sportivo) weren't available when I got my springs.

All these companies can say this and that but at the moment, no one really knows what really works well with the shocks. Only time will tell, but from what i keep reading, the Swift shocks are very close to stock in terms of feel and ride, which might mean nothing but sounds like a best bet. In terms of rates...

The yellows get great reviews but they seem to be quite harsher then stock set up.

Ideal set up would be Koni shocks and yellows (or other springs) if your worried about OEM shocks.

The average for your lowering your car with springs on stock shocks is about a year or so of aggressive/spirited driving intill you'll start to feel a loss in responsiveness, IMO.

Mach V Springs feel very good with the stock strut, i have it since 1 month now maybe more and i love it.

I have Eibach Pro kit. certainly stiffer than ever before BUT less role and dive. I love it. Also more predictable when I break traction
