Beatrush Reverse Lockout Lever
6 Attachment(s)
No-shop affiliation here, just a nice find that I thought I would share:
Got sent these pics from MiataRoadster, as they are gearing up their line up to support he FT86 chassis. Looks like the distributor is gathering pre-orders to bring some into the US from Japan. Available in 5 colors (Purple, Red, Blue, Gold, & Silver). Direct-Bolt On. No modifications required. Made of Lightweight Aluminum (37grams). MSRP -$59.00 Deciding between Red, Blue, or Gold myself... |
does this shorten the overall height? looks like those shift boots are all bunched up
|
Why no black?
|
i want that gold so bad!!!!
|
Sign me up for gold as well please!
|
It's supposed to be a stock replacement. All the pics other than the one with the silver one look normal as my own stock unit... :iono:

How do you swap these?
I have red coming and will post pics once it's installed. |
So the purpose of this is just to have a different color I'm assuming?
|
For aesthetic reasons I reckon.
It looks like there are set screws on the lockout lever? I haven't found time to look better. |
+1 I want an anodized black please ... or titanium burned blue
|
I'm pissed they released this after I bought a BPS short throw. I've actually yet to install it, but I'm completely satisfied with the stock shifter throw; I just hate the plastic lockout ring!!
Edit: JUST KIDDING, the BPS shifter is amazing. So glad I got it! Action is much more solid now and the lockout mechanism feels great! |
I just got mine in the mail. Really cool looking. It has instructions but they're in Japanese.
Anyway it looks like you use a punch to knock out the pin that goes through it. The instructions for the (similar) Perrin reverse lever says to get under the car and wedge a hex wrench in to the shifter cable. This makes enough slack to beable to undo the lever. I call @ft86speedfactory and they said that step isn't required. So I've given it a go with a punch and mallet but no luck. If anyone has success will you post up your secrets? |
