Why does this forum mark message as read randomly?

I just went to ft86club.com and it shows every thread as read. Why does it do that? It happens frequently and it's annoying since I don't know what I've read. I guess it's a bug in vBulletin, maybe something about using multiple computers/devices to read the forums?

I'm getting seriously ticked because of this huge bug. I haven't read the forum for a few days and now only a few topics are marked as "not read". I can't believe vBulletin costs anything - I assumed it was free because it's so bad.

I don't have this problem at all. Is your browser prefetching/precaching?

I wouldn't say huge bug but yeah, kind of annoying.

Yeah, Annoying in the sense that's it's completely unusable. I read on my ipad.. And just now I read a few new posts, refreshed..and bam.. Everything marked as read. Fail.

I've also noticed this as well using Firefox, Chrome, and the tapatalk app for Android.

God damn it, it just happened last night and this morning. vBulletin should die a horrible death. I just can't use it if I don't know what I've read! Uhhhh

I noticed it happens more if I browse not logged in, then log in

So I try to visit the main page, log in, then click new posts, then open new tabs any posts I want to read. Doing this I haven't had that bug in a long time. Not sure which step is the effective one but I'll keep doing all of them

It seems like when new posts pop up and you refresh the page, the bold "unread" threads disappears and turns itself into "read" even if you didn't click it.

I am using Firefox; not sure if that's the problem but I just keep my list of "New posts" tab open and open all the new threads in another tab.

I am also experiencing this. I have experienced this on a Mac Pro Laptop, an iMac, a Dell PC, using the following browsers... Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.

I have also experienced the same thing using the mobile browser on my iPhone and iPad. I don't use Tapatalk.
