Why does this forum mark message as read randomly?
I just went to ft86club.com and it shows every thread as read. Why does it do that? It happens frequently and it's annoying since I don't know what I've read. I guess it's a bug in vBulletin, maybe something about using multiple computers/devices to read the forums?

I don't have this problem at all. Is your browser prefetching/precaching?

I've also noticed this as well using Firefox, Chrome, and the tapatalk app for Android.

God damn it, it just happened last night and this morning. vBulletin should die a horrible death. I just can't use it if I don't know what I've read! Uhhhh
|
I noticed it happens more if I browse not logged in, then log in
So I try to visit the main page, log in, then click new posts, then open new tabs any posts I want to read. Doing this I haven't had that bug in a long time. Not sure which step is the effective one but I'll keep doing all of them |
It seems like when new posts pop up and you refresh the page, the bold "unread" threads disappears and turns itself into "read" even if you didn't click it.
I am using Firefox; not sure if that's the problem but I just keep my list of "New posts" tab open and open all the new threads in another tab. |
I am also experiencing this. I have experienced this on a Mac Pro Laptop, an iMac, a Dell PC, using the following browsers... Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.
I have also experienced the same thing using the mobile browser on my iPhone and iPad. I don't use Tapatalk. |
