awesome, thanks @PMok for taking pics. I actually emailed the park services and they said if it's parties of 200 or less there's no need to reserve and would be a first come first serve basis, but if it's more we'll need to reserve. Also section C is booked for that weekend (June 20). I figured the turn out wouldn't be more than 10-15 cars? So she said no need for rsvp'ing. But if more then they'll need a heads up and not sure if it entails a fee, which I'm sure it would. But I'm sure a nice organized meet with sponsors and stuff would work out really well there.

yeah most of our "short notice" type of meets & drives get about 10-15 cars and we certainly won't get 200 people haha. Seems like we'd be fine at one of the smaller picnic areas and the one closest to the parking might be best ... however I bet those get grabbed quick too. So yeah let's see who wants to join in on this, and when. Were you thinking morning-lunchtime, or afternoon-dinner time?

Are we ristricted to using their bbq's. if not then I'm sure an easy up, grill and some camping chairs would let us admire each others car closer with some shade. Oh and a table ir two. Just a thought. But I'm in regardless.

I don't see any restrictions on that in the website. This might be one of those "better to ask forgiveness..." type situations haha.

Ahh sweet. And yes, I'm thinking morning (9-10am'ish-noon'ish) give or take.
And LOL, why is everyone so scared of Oakland? I mean, yeah there's at least 1 murder a day (2+ on a normal day) but I absolutely love Oakland. And, the area is passed west Oakland and kind of in the boonies. Either way, it's a pretty sweet spot. Glad to have interest in this spot for a meet. Again, looking at the weekend of July 20th.

Anyone still down for this? If not, I'll be making other plans

I'm still in

dun3 07-15-2013 03:27 PM

lol, I think it wont happen. Maybe another time, no worries!

PMok 07-15-2013 03:42 PM

I'd still be down for it even if it's a small meetup. We don't have to bbq if people aren't interested, we could bring sandwiches or whatever you want and just chill/eat there.

denkigrve 07-15-2013 04:17 PM

If this doesn't happen it gives me time to work on the paint for project mini-FRS.

Agreed, its by the port, so as long as its during the day, the area is fine, plus Oakland is nothing to this Stockton boy ;).
