Noticed a few more new FRS/BRZs yesterday. Hopefully you all didn't get too burnt from the sun and heat. Next event is in two weeks - July 20th.

colHolm 07-07-2013 06:36 PM

I had a great time. A little bit roasted... I should be able to make it on the 20th

automatic 07-08-2013 12:32 AM

Had a lot of fun!

I think my first run ended up being my fastest.

My 2nd/3rd run were fun runs...my 4th and 5th serious runs ended up eating cones.

I'm really tempted to put on proper tires so that I could be competitive...

Hmmmm, we'll see how the next event goes...

Lol Frankie you'd be amazed at the difference it makes.

I only did 3 runs and my marshaling and then I had to bounce I was getting too stroked out from the sun. Only stayed on course for 1 of the 3 and it wasn't even good, something like 57.8.

The sun cooking my brain sure didn't help me make clean runs

To my ultramarine brother - sorry didn't get a chance to chat with you, loved the stance on your car. KW v3?

I think that's me. :happy0180:

Yup, KW V3s. Check out my build thread for more pics and mods here.

It was a very tricky course... I think my 5 runs went like this:

1. Off course
2. 58.X (including 1 cone)
3. Off course
4. 54.8
5. 54.2

My last run was good for 2nd in A-M, and 22nd out of 91 cars overall. I'm pretty happy with the results considering I'm still playing around with the compression and rebound settings.

Lots of fun though! We can chat at the next one.

Ya, I remember last year I went from all seasons to Starspecs on my Mazda 3, I instantly gained 2-3 seconds.

I've been trying to get rid of my aftermarket rims for my mazda 3 before I get rims for the BRZ. I have 2 sets of Starspecs at home which happen to be the same size as the stock tires....

I might just skip the wait and put my Starspecs on the stock rims and run those for now. I was going to keep the stock tires on stock rims for street driving since they wear slower than Starspecs but I think its time to put on some real rubber...

Can I get a ride along with someone who has aftermarket suspension next time? I want to see what difference it makes in terms of cornering and grip....I may be interested in an upgrade for the future if it makes a significant difference...
